OLIVE YOUNG Opens OLIVE BETTER Seongsu, Making Wellness Part of Everyday Life
CJ OLIVE YOUNG will open OLIVE BETTER Seongsu on October 30, its largest OLIVE BETTER location in Korea at approximately 611 square meters across four floors. The store introduces wellness through experiences including Better Bar, Sweets Library, a sauna-themed zone and In-Out Beauty, while supporting emerging brands and expanding K-wellness.

CJ OLIVE YOUNG announced that OLIVE BETTER Seongsu, its wellness-focused curation store, will open on November 30, marking a new milestone for the platform. Since opening its first location in Gwanghwamun, Seoul, on January 30, OLIVE BETTER has opened five stores this year, establishing a foothold in Korea’s growing wellness market.
Spanning four floors, from the basement level to the third floor, the Seongsu store covers approximately 611 square meters, making it the largest OLIVE BETTER location in Korea. Recognizing Seongsu as a hub for trend-conscious younger consumers and international visitors, OLIVE YOUNG has brought its distinctive sourcing and curation capabilities to the new location, creating a space that reflects the neighborhood’s influence on emerging trends.
With the opening of OLIVE BETTER Seongsu, OLIVE YOUNG aims to strengthen its role in introducing and defining K-wellness for a wider audience. Drawing on nine months of accumulated customer data and in-store experience, the company is translating the once unfamiliar and often complex concept of wellness into enjoyable, sustainable everyday routines.
Going beyond a conventional retail experience, OLIVE BETTER Seongsu offers expanded experiential content that allows customers to sample and explore wellness products firsthand, including categories they may be encountering for the first time.
A key highlight is 'Better Bar,' a new wellness experience on the first floor. Recognizing that wellness foods can be less familiar than skincare products in terms of taste and how they are consumed, the space serves customized wellness menus prepared on-site by combining a variety of individual products. Signature offerings include four protein shakes, such as the ALL THE BETTER Soft Rice Smoothie, and four teas, including the ALL THE BETTER Lemon Ginger Honey Tea. Through these ready-to-enjoy options, customers can explore different ways to incorporate wellness foods into their diets and naturally develop healthier eating habits.

The store also introduces dedicated spaces inspired by Seongsu’s distinctive character. The 'Sweets Library,' located on the first floor, challenges the perception that sweet treats are inherently unhealthy by bringing together thoughtfully curated snacks that reflect low-sugar, zero-sugar and vegan trends. A new sauna-themed zone, meanwhile, draws inspiration from the growing popularity of bathing and body-care routines, offering ideas for relaxation and well-being inside and out.
Another central feature is the 'In-Out Beauty experience, which brings together OLIVE YOUNG’s Advanced Derma high-performance skincare range and OLIVE BETTER’s inner beauty offerings. Dedicated displays organize inner beauty products around key concerns such as sleep, firmness, regeneration, radiance and hydration, with a seamless, one-stop shopping journey leading directly to Advanced Derma skincare and beauty devices. This layout encourages customers to explore wellness as a natural extension of their beauty routines.
The store also features a gua sha island with tools tailored to different body areas and materials, alongside a toothpaste island showcasing unconventional oral-care products, including powdered toothpaste. Together, these curated spaces offer customers new ways to build personalized body-wellness routines into everyday life.
OLIVE BETTER plans to continue expanding its offline presence in key commercial districts while broadening the reach of Korea’s wellness industry in partnership with promising small and emerging beauty and health brands. Leveraging the platform’s trusted curation expertise, OLIVE YOUNG aims to connect quality-driven independent brands with consumers interested in wellness and foster a sustainable ecosystem in which the industry can grow together.
“OLIVE BETTER Seongsu was designed to help customers build and experience healthy everyday routines firsthand, drawing on the sourcing and curation expertise we have developed over time,” an OLIVE YOUNG spokesperson said. “We will continue to discover promising small and emerging wellness brands and take a leading role in expanding Korea’s K-wellness ecosystem.”
To celebrate the opening, OLIVE BETTER will partner with SMCC (Seoul Morning Coffee Club) and the Seoul Metropolitan Government to host SMCC Morning Rave with OLIVE BETTER on November 7. The event will take place in the morning at Seoul Forest, inviting participants to enjoy a cup of coffee and move freely to music as part of a new approach to wellness. More details are available through the Events section of the Korean OLIVE YOUNG online store.
