OLIVE YOUNG Debuts 'OLIVE BETTER' Wellness Platform with First Offline Store in Seoul

CJ OLIVE YOUNG announced the launch of OLIVE BETTER, a wellness-focused curation platform that extends the company’s proven K-beauty growth expertise into the emerging K-wellness market. The company will open its first offline store on January 30 in Gwanghwamun, Seoul, marking OLIVE YOUNG’s official entry into a broader wellness retail experience.
OLIVE BETTER expands OLIVE YOUNG's long-established health category into a comprehensive wellness platform centered on the value of healthy beauty. Designed in response to the growing interest in wellness, the platform focuses on supporting healthier daily routines that are practical, accessible, and easy to maintain.
While the global wellness market has continued to grow since the COVID-19 pandemic, barriers to entry remain high for many consumers. In particular, the lack of offline touchpoints that address wellness holistically, combined with limited opportunities for personalized recommendations and hands-on experiences online, often leaves consumers unsure of where or how to begin.
OLIVE BETTER addresses this gap by curating wellness into clearly defined categories and products aligned with modern lifestyles, positioning wellness as a set of actionable practices that can be easily incorporated into everyday life.
OLIVE BETTER launches offline and on the app, delivering an omnichannel wellness experience
OLIVE BETTER’s first store is located in Gwanghwamun, a business district in Seoul with a large population of health-conscious office workers and a well-developed wellness ecosystem (including yoga studios and fitness centers). The two-story store features more than 3,000 wellness products from over 500 brands.
Beyond the physical layout, the store offers a fully immersive wellness experience through its design and atmosphere. Energizing music is curated for the morning and daytime hours, while calming, restorative sounds are introduced in the evening, allowing customers to experience wellness through both sight and sound.
The first floor focuses on convenience, enabling busy professionals to practice wellness with ease. Offerings include salads and high-protein ready-to-eat meals for customers who find it difficult to manage structured diets, along with a wide range of dietary supplements that allow individuals to conveniently supplement specific nutrients based on their needs. Reflecting the growing trend of protein as a meal replacement, the store also features a diverse protein lineup with varying protein content, ingredients, and flavors. In addition, the store offers a tasting service that allows customers to sample a selection of standout wellness products curated by OLIVE BETTER.
The second floor introduces wellness routines aligned with the natural flow of a day. Built on the idea that daily consumption is a core element of wellness, the space highlights light meals, healthy snacks, and dietary supplements, alongside OLIVE YOUNG's key wellness categories such as inner beauty, slimming, and sleep wellness. Products for active lifestyles, including energy gels and sports accessories, are also curated for fitness-focused customers.
Products centered on rest and recovery at the end of the day are another key focus. From tea and caffeine-free coffee alternatives to aromatherapy, derma care, sleep-support lighting, pajamas, and personal care items, OLIVE BETTER offers a broad selection for customers seeking deeper rest and self-care. A dedicated in-store tea tasting area allows visitors to sample and experience tea, offering a brief moment of relaxation within the store.

On January 30, the company will also launch OLIVE BETTER as an app-in-app within the OLIVE YOUNG mobile app to support more structured wellness routines. The service offers personalized product recommendations based on intake type, purpose, or ingredients, along with guidance on usage methods and functional benefits. A “routine reminder” feature helps customers manage supplement intake timing, reinforcing consistent wellness habits.
OLIVE BETTER is fully integrated with the OLIVE YOUNG membership program, allowing customers to enjoy the same member benefits, including same-day delivery and in-store pickup services.
Through the launch of OLIVE BETTER, OLIVE YOUNG aims to expand the foundation of the K-wellness market. Building on its experience introducing and scaling the Health & Beauty (H&B) store model in Korea, the company plans to broaden wellness consumption experiences connected to everyday routines—eating, replenishing, and resting—and to support the phased growth of a uniquely Korean wellness model.
